AEA Meetings and Conferences

AEA offers its members numerous opportunities for organizing and professional learning through statewide conferences. At conferences, members are offered workshops to further their professional knowledge, learn about issues affecting their profession, earn CEUs and PLUs for their certifications, and become current in what’s happening in their association and their profession.

Local Meetings
Be active and attend your local association meeting. The local meeting is where we develop and strengthen our bonds with the education family in your school. Local meetings provide a forum to learn about the issues you face as a professional and to ask important questions. Your value in extending AEA’s commitment to education begins with attending the meetings of your local. Talk to your local elected leaders about attending, or contact your UniServ Director.

AEA Delegate Assembly – Held in December, the AEA Delegate Assembly is the annual meeting of AEA delegates – elected from each local association in the state – that sets the agenda for the AEA leadership team. Delegates debate and adopt resolutions and set the association’s action agenda for the coming year. AEA’s leadership uses the action agenda as a guide when working with the Legislature on behalf of AEA members. Talk to your local leaders or your UniServ Director about how you can be a delegate to participate in the AEA Delegate Assembly.
