2017 AEA Leadership Conference

The 2017 AEA Leadership Conference is AEA’s annual conference focusing on leadership skills, best practices, and team building. This year’s conference is being held on 15-17, 2017, at the Renaissance Riverview Hotel in Mobile, Alabama. Emerging Leaders School and BELL Team training for locals are being held in conjunction with the conference. 

This year the conference will include the following workshops: Getting the Most From Your School System Budget; 2017 Legislative Update; Social Media can Ruin Your Life But it Shouldn’t; Parliamentary Procedure; Training for Experienced Presidents/Vice Presidents; Training for New Presidents/Vice Presidents; Training for Secretaries; Training for Treasurers; Issues with Transportation, Bookkeeping, CNP, and Maintenance; Let’s Talk About Sex; Wellness Screening and Coaching; Membership, Membership, Membership; Special Education; How to Talk to the Media and Avoid Becoming Fake News; Gripe, Grievance or a Legal Matter; Laws That All Public Education Employees Must Know; Member Benefits; How Do You Manage Conflict; Public Education Employee Liability; and ESSA – Every Student Succeeds Act.
