About the Keynote Speaker:


Craig Boykin’s life is one that moves, touches and inspires audiences. It’s a story about determination and personal accountability. It’s a story about a young man who refused to accept his current situation. Craig’s message is simple… Change Is Possible! Craig offers approaches for effectively nurturing student achievement and overcoming economic class barriers. Craig is considered an expert in overcoming cultural poverty. Craig is the product of a teenage mother who abused drugs and a nonexistent father. Craig repeated twice in grade school and was placed in special education. Craig ultimately dropped out of high school. Craig J. Boykin, is the originator of Make Edu Count, an author, and speaker. Recognized nationally, Mr. Boykin has traveled extensively to present a variety of speeches and workshops based on his foundational work “Helping Educators Overcome Cultural Poverty, Disengaged Parents, and Apathetic Students.” Craig also offers approaches for effectively nurturing student achievement and overcoming economic class barriers. An expert in overcoming cultural poverty, Craig has literally pulled himself up by the bootstraps, reinventing not only his life but hundreds of thousands of educators and other professionals in seminars around the world. He received a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University at Montgomery; master’s degree in Justice Administration from Faulkner University, and a master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Faulkner University. Craig has published five books since 2013, and he has been featured on talk shows, won various awards, and his story has been shared in many inspirational magazines and across the web.
