This dynamic conference will provide an excellent professional learning experience for all AEA members – classroom teachers, education support professionals, instructional leaders/administrators, and postsecondary educators. Participants are sure to learn something to enhance their educational knowledge and job performance.
This year’s conference will emphasize ways in which AEA members may use the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) to positively impact student performance and organize members around professional issues. Additional sessions to be presented at the conference include: Finding Common Ground on Bullying, Cultural Competence for Educators, Technology for 21st Century Instructional Leaders, and Proactive Discipline Measures in Alabama Public Schools. Sessions will also be provided for classroom teachers and specialty area educators to earn professional development clock hours for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and for education support professionals in areas such as parental and community engagement, innovative technology skills, professionalism in the workplace, and much more. In order to receive professional development credit hours for participation in the Divisional Professional Development Conference, participants must enroll on Chalkable PD using PD Title Number AEADPD.
