Health Insurance

Vision Insurance: Everyone needs to receive regular vision care. Vision insurance plans with monthly premiums starting at $7.01 for an individual plan for actively at work members and $6.56 for an individual retiree plan. Accident Insurance: Prevents the financial hardships associated with accidents. Benefits are paid directly to you for items such as emergency room visits, hospitalizations, intensive care and wellness exams.
Cancer Insurance: Provides coverage for Cancer that pays directly to you. All plans include a wellness benefit and first occurrence benefit. Two plans include an intensive care benefit.
Critical Illness Insurance: Covers the “Big 3”: Heart attack, Stroke, and Cancer with lump-sum coverage. Includes an annual wellness benefit.
NEA® Medicare Supplement Program*: Coverage for hospital and medical expenses not covered by Medicare.
NEA® Hospital Care Insurance Plan: Two options to help you pay the “extra” expenses associated with a hospital stay plus at home recovery.
NEA Income Protection® Plan: Provides income when you are unable to work due to illness or injury.
Disability Insurance
Disability Insurance: Disability Insurance is designed to provide partial income replacement for you should you become disabled as the result of a covered sickness or injury. Protect your biggest asset: your ability to earn an income. Five options to choose from.
NEA® AD&D Insurance: With AD&D coverage, whether you’re home or away, you know that you and your loved ones are covered in case of an accident. AD&D coverage may be appropriate for members of all ages.
Life Insurance
Voluntary Group Life Insurance: Provides basic, cost effective life insurance coverage while actively-at-work.
Lifetime Benefit Term Insurance: NEA® Level Premium Term Life Insurance Plan*: Coverage amounts up to $1,000,000 are available for 10-year, 15-year and 20-year terms. Premiums won’t increase or decrease for the entire term.
Lifetime Benefit Term Permanent Life Insurance: Depending on your plan choices, your coverage could last to Age 120 with premiums guaranteed not to increase. Plans available with built-in Long Term Care benefit.
Term Life Insurance: Allows you to purchase coverage for a specific period based on your situation. Our 10-year and 20-year payroll deduction policies require no medical exams. Other terms available on request.
NEA® Guaranteed Issue Life Plan*: Coverage guaranteed for NEA members and their spouses ages 45 and older.
NEA® Group Long-Term Care Insurance Program: Financial support in paying for necessary long-term care services like nursing home, home health and assisted living care.
NEA® Group Term Life Insurance* provides up to $500,000 of decreasing term life at affordable group rates for members and spouses.
NEA® Introductory Term Life Insurance*: $15,000 of life insurance at no cost to eligible new members.
NEA® Complimentary Life Insurance*: No-cost life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance while actively engaged in your occupation.
Spouse Life Insurance: We can help you protect yourself by covering your spouse with your choice of permanent or term life insurance.
Child Life Insurance: You are always protecting your children, so covering them with whole life insurance just makes sense. Coverage can be purchased on simplified issue up to age 17. Whole life for as little as $9.75 per month.
Voluntary Group AD&D: Provides life and dismemberment coverage for accidents only. Coverage available for employee, spouse and children, all with no medical exam required.
