ASTA
Alabama Science Teachers' Association holds a conference each October providing a wide range of professional development activities for science teachers at all grade levels.

AL Math, Science, and Technology Initiative Workshops supporting the teaching of math and science across all grade levels fall under the umbrella of the Alabama Math, Science and Technology Initiative (AMSTI).

Alabama Council of Teachers of Mathematics Regional Councils within the state also provide support for mathematics teachers. AL Reading Initiative

AL Aerospace Celebration

ARA works to improve literacy in Alabama through its many projects, carried out through over 20 committees and 17 councils, and through an Annual Fall Conference and Summer Leadership Conference.

Alabama Music Educators' Association Recruitment, rejuvenation, and retention are key in helping to contion providing superior music education in Alabama, says AMEA. It provides in-service opportunities for its members and educational opportunities for the music students in Alabama.

Alabama Federation Council for Exceptional Children The Council for Exceptional Children ensures the needs of children and youth with exceptionalities are met in educational legislation, establishes professional standards for the field, and develops initiatives to improve special education practice.
