Association of Classroom Teachers (ACT)

ACT's major event is the AEA/ACT Professional Development Conference.
Any K-12 classroom teacher who is a member of the AEA may become a member of the Association of Classroom Teachers upon payment of membership dues. ACT membership dues are $5.00 per year. For more information call Kynesha Brown at AEA headquarters, 800-392-5839.
National Board Certification
AEA offers assistance to members in the form of workshops held throughout the year. National Board workshops are offered during the AEA Divisional Conference, AEA Leadership Conference, AEA/ACT Professional Development Conference, and the Minority Leadership Conference each year.

Association of Classroom Teachers ACT 2009 Elections
The Association of Classroom Teachers (ACT) is now accepting nominations for ACT Board of Directors.
State officers shall have been members of the Association of Classroom Teachers for three (3) years prior to election. District Directors shall have been members of the Association of Classroom Teachers for one (1) year prior to the election and will also serve for two (2) years. Each nomination must be accompanied by a written statement from the nominee of his or her consent to become a candidate.
Districts up for election are:
Vice-President/President-Elect – White
Secretary/Treasurer
District 1 – Minority
District 2 – White
District 3 – White
District 4 – White
District 5 – White
District 6 – Minority
District 7 – Minority
