The executive secretary is the chief administrative officer of the association. The associate executive secretary is charged with the responsibility of directing the Professional Rights and Responsibilities Program. Both the executive and associate executive have broad power to alleviate or prevent association problems, and both have obligations to implement the policies and programs approved by the Delegate Assembly or the AEA Board of Directors.
