AEA's Business Office

Steve Perrigin

Steven R. Perrigin, Manager

Business Office and Membership Department

The AEA Business Office is directly responsible for the effective management and reporting of association finances and all membership records. AEA members include classroom teachers, administrators, postsecondary employees, support professionals, student members, and retirees.

The business office bears the responsibility of receiving and accounting for all dues collected by the 130 school systems in the state on behalf of AEA’s members.

Business office staff must accurately process the 103,000 individual records of the association’s members and account for the member’s dues, work location, employing system, and other critical information.

Membership records form the basis for the governance of the association.

The Business Office also oversees all AEA internal elections including the election of the AEA Board of Directors, ESP Board of Directors, Administrator Board of Directors, Postsecondary Board of Directors, NEA Directors, and NEA state delegates.
